Flat Roofs

In most cases you will use felt to finish a flat roof however in some situations you may require a conversion to a pitched roof. This process aids the flow of water from the roof to the drainage system. With a standard flat roof this may not be possible or suitable. We can advise on the best solution once we have seen the roof.

Felt Roofs

Touch on roofing or torch-down roofing as it can also be known as is an application by blow torch. A three layer process, perforated layer that is followed by 2mm underlay and 4mm mineral finishes in a variety of colours. This is best applied on flat roofs like garage roofs, dormer roofs and house or factory extensions.

In some cases there may be asbestos present which is highly toxic and requires specialist handling, removal and transportation to a registered site. LFE Roofing is fully licence and registered to carry out this type of work.

New Roofs

Old roofs that are in constant need of repair may benefit from a complete replacement due to the ongoing costs involved with the repair work.

Original slate roofs by design are without the more common felt installation found on today’s roofs. The new breathable roofing membrane used/within all new roofs/builds helps the retention of heat which together with the rest of your building add up to your overall Energy Star rating

Tiles that are made of concrete or clay will over time breakdown and perish and retain water leading to moss and lichen which builds up and can end up blocking guttering and leaving a general mess on the ground below.

Full Replacement Services for UPVC Fascia, Soffits, and Guttering

Over a period of time traditional timbre fascias become rotten and unsightly needing constant repairs and painting where a UPC will require little or no maintenance and is available in a variety of colours and styles to suit most properties. This can be coupled with matching or different styles for guttering with increased flow rates to prevent gutters overflowing during heavy rain/storms.

Slate Roofs

Traditional roofs where originally covered in slate however today's slate roofs are mainly found in conservation/traditional buildings and can require a high degree of expertise in order to repair or maintain. One reasons you may wish to replace a slate roof can range from constant slipping of slates that can be due to nails/fixing become corroded or worn. Slate roofs are also notoriously without lining felt, which can result in heat loss which in turn makes the room that sits beneath the slate roof hard to heat in colder climates.

Tile Roofs

Tile roofs are very much like Slate roofs in that they can become damaged and eroded over time.
