As the highest point of your house or building the chimney is susceptible to all sorts of uniquely related problems from movement to weather damage amongst a few of the problems you may find. Damaged flashing, loose or broken bricks can cause the chimney to become unstable and in some cases dangerous. In extreme cases this can lead to parts of the chimney falling to the ground below.
